Seventeen-year-old West Indies U-19 selectee Bhaskar Yadram is the only First-Class
player in a strong 19-man Demerara squad that will defend their Under-19 title in this year’s GCB’s Hand-in-Hand Three-Day and 50-Over cricket tournament which is expected to commence shortly.
Yadram made 25 and 13 on debut against the Leewards at Providence last month in the final round of this season’s Regional First-Class tournament and will Captain the team.
He will have National U-19 player Ronaldo Ali Mohamed as his Vice-Captain of a squad which also includes West Indies Under-19 selectee Joshua Persaud.
The full team read: Bhaskar Yadram (Captain ), Ronaldo Ali Mohamed (Vice Captain), Joshua Persaud, Raymond Perez, Navendra Persaud, Ramnarine Chetura, Richie Looknauth, Keshram Seyhodan, Stephon Wilson, Sagar Hatheramani, Dwayne Dick, Gavin Boodwah, Krishna Singh, Dambuka Nqgando,Tameshwar Motieram, Mark Jeffers, Kennard Moonsammy, Mark Ramsammy and Himanauth Dindyal.
Omar Hussain is the Manager, with former West Indies pacer Reon King as Head Coach and Dhanpaul as his Assistant.
