A 62-year-old political activist who found himself in the spotlight a few weeks ago after allegations of rape surfaced is still under investigation.
Divisional Commander, Ian Amsterdam, told this publication, that the file against the political activist representing the AFC is completed, and has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecution for advice.
Reports reaching this publication states that after a report was filed against the accused that he had sexually assaulted a teenager, he turned himself in. It was later revealed that this was only done based on advice from his “police contacts” after he contacted them.
He has since been released.
The 62-year-old man who sometimes calls himself “the King of Queens” is being accused of sexually assaulting the teenager, after allegedly promising to wed her.
In a statement given at the Albion Police Station it stated that the 19-year-old claimed that she was touched inappropriately. She also related that she was raped on three occasions but because of her family’s strong religious beliefs she tried to keep the alleged rape from her parents due to the fear of embarrassment.
