Dear Editor,
The euphoria -the feeling of happiness, camaraderie and sheer good will that we experience on Easter Monday is like no other and transcends all barriers and borders. It was good to see the coming together of families, friends, neighbours and even strangers; the mingling and sharing of space on the ground and in the air. The sharing and partaking of food, drinks, a good gaff or helping to get kites raised or repaired or untangled are experiences and lessons we can transport to our everyday life. At the end of the day, tired and weary as we trudge our way home the good feeling of joy, fulfillment and contentment is with us and we cannot help but wonder why can’t this feeling last? Yes Easter Monday in Guyana is like no other and we would not trade it for anything.
