Farmer shot while urinating near parked vehicle
A 22-year-old farmer was shot Sunday night while urinating near a parked vehicle at Clonbrook, East Coast Demerara (ECD). This incident occurred shortly after 23:45 hrs.
Khemraj Gangaram of Bee Hive, ECD, was shot to the left hand and right thigh.
He is in a stable condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
According to information received, Gangaram was at a function at Clonbrook when he ventured across the road to relieve himself, in the vicinity of a parked motor vehicle.
While urinating, the man reportedly heard two explosions and observed a male pointing a handgun at him.
The victim managed to run, but sustained two gunshots. He was rushed to the GPHC where he remains a patient. No one has been arrested as yet.
