Dear Editor,
Please allow me the space to make public something that is of extreme importance to me, and to others. I operate two (2) accounts in a city bank in downtown, Georgetown. This particular bank is the custodian of some the most important business transactions in my personal and professional life. I operate a chequing account, and have a sizeable mortgage, that is being routinely serviced.
Recently, I found that the saved link that I normally use to access my viewing of my online account was inoperable. However, I accessed the international link for the bank and selected ”Guyana”, from the dropdown menu, and was able to access my account. To my consternation, I found that a name other than my own was listed as the owner of the account. I really cannot think of any explanation that this bank, or any other bank for that matter, could have for such a situation occurring, and it is my intention to deal with this matter with the seriousness that it deserves. I am by means of this letter publicly conveying this intention to the relevant entity.
Juliet Holder-Allen.
