Warning to Town Clerk, Royston King
Dear Editor,
Ever since Ms. Carol Sooba assumed the office of Town Clerk, my interest in the affairs was significantly renewed.
Her frequent clashes with the mayor and deputy, though very serious was more like a Circus show. It was top class entertaining. But my anger would rise with questions as to the person of the town clerk. Her contempt for the council knew no boundaries.
This woman was a one man show. And while she displayed attitude unbecoming of a hireling, her subject minister et al seem pleased with her performance. She got “spounce’. Her miscalculation was to forget that “you can’t keep what you can lose.”
While Carol displayed arrogance towards council, she was hired to serve her audience, the people. Mr. King anticipated her demise, and his subsequent elevation, “to the throne’. Legal proceedings failed. However, thanks to the vendors, and citizens of GT, May 11, 2015 signaled D Day for Carol, and “ the day that the Lord has made” for Mr. King. But that was 17 months ago
Mr King has shown and is showing” dem boys, who he truly is”. Mr King’s arrogance towards, and contempt for the very people responsible for his coronation, is nauseating. I am as angry now as when Carol was “Sitira Gal” in City Hall.
He seems to have too soon forgotten the following; 1. Hired servants who behave like bosses get fired. 2. You don’t make enemies of people who don’t hate you or want your job. 3. Why Carol got booted. My brother
I advise you, “get out de the line quick if you dont want City Hall to see yuh back, and the vendors your face. Remember the day Carol lost her office, bodyguard, driver and “Prado”. Dem people dey hey since before yuh mother mek you. You or dem gun move. But not dem.
