Dear Editor,
In an article published in your media on July 31 pertaining to our application for pandit accreditation (to perform licensed marriages according to Hindu rites and sanctioned by the state), our organization inadvertently identified the Viraat Sabha as obtaining special privileges from the state to accredit its affiliated pandits. It was really another Hindu organization from Region 3 affiliated with the government that enjoys such special favors and that indeed got its pandits to be accredited as licensed marriage officers. The Central Arya Samaj regrets the error and apologizes to the Viraat Sabja for our unintentional mistake. We still wait for words from the state on our pending application. Since our letter of complaint, we are yet to hear from the President or the line Minister to address the issue.
Dr. Vishnu Bandhu
President
