Man who threatened to kill Court Marshal, jailed
Carlos Hooke, 30, of Blairmont Village West Bank Berbice, was on Wednesday sentenced to three weeks imprisonment by Magistrate Alex Moore when he appeared before him in the Blairmont Magistrate’s Court on a charge of threatening behaviour.
The man threatened High Court Marshal Vaughn Trapp on July 1, last, while he was carrying out his normal duties in the Blairmont area.
The accused attacked Trapp and threatened to chop and kill him when he attempted to effect a personal service on his mother. The summons is concerning a matter that is currently engaging the attention of the High Court between Attorney-at-Law Horatio Edmonson and some villagers of Ithaca, West Bank Berbice.
For his indiscretion and for hampering the High Court Marshall in the performance of his duties, Hooke was sentenced to three weeks in prison.
