Hotel Tower former employees still not paid
Dear Editor,
After workers were not paid by the previous owners of Hotel Tower, the Minister, Ms. Simona Broomes intervened and the matter was placed before the court. Several court hearings later resulted in the magistrate ruling that the workers must be paid no later than December 2015. To date, the workers are still to be paid. Checks were made by said workers in relation to this payment. However, The Ministry of Social Protection seems unable to provide answers. Mr. Editor, the hotel has reopened its doors and is now under new management. Its former workers are frustrated and wish to see some resolution of the matter.
