The occupants of this beverage truck operated by Ansa Mc AL Guyana Limited escaped with minor injuries, on Tuesday, after the lorry which was laden with over 400 cases of various beverages toppled around 8:10 hours.
The driver lost control and ended in the trench at Esplanade Road just outside the Burnham Park, New Amsterdam.
Information revealed that the vehicle GHH 3500 had just taken off from the company’s Berbice Head Office at Main Road, New Amsterdam to undertake distribution in the Corentyne and Canje area.
The driver, Jason Seegobin, 23, of Hampshire, Corentyne, Berbice reportedly lost control on the slippery road. Witnesses said that it was raining and the driver was too close to the corner as he took the turn and lost control as the truck slid into the trench and subsequently capsized.
The driver and the porters who were inside escaped with minor injuries.
