Strathavon defeated Golden Achievers by 128 runs when the East Coast Cricket Committee/Fairfield
SC T20 tournament continued on Sunday.
Batting first at Fairfield, Strathavon scored 191-8. Sewchand Budhu got 45 and Chanderpaul Hemraj 43. Golden Achievers were sent packing for 63 in reply. Deodat Hemraj claimed 3-7 and Gobindra Hemraj 3-24.
Fairfield overcame Mahaica SC by 121 runs at the said venue. Fairfield posted 205-9 taking first strike. Alex Marshall made 32 while Ramnarine Chatura chipped in with 27. S. Singh captured 3-34 and Darshan Persaud 2-24. Mahaica SC were bowled out for 84 in 16.5 overs in response. D. Singh made 21; Richard Chatura snared 3-17 and Motelall Chatura 3-17.
At Enmore, the host went down to Lusignan by six wickets. Enmore batted first but only mustered 93-5 with Chris Surat scoring 27. Lusignan responded with 97-4 in 14.5 overs. Somnauth Bharat got 46 not out and Kumar Bishundial an unbeaten 17. Delon Ross took 3-20.
At Paradise, Rohan Auto Spares Challengers beat Good Hope by five wickets. Batting first, Good Hope managed 180-8. Sachin Sahadeo struck 50, while Roopnarine Romaran made 32 and Ranjiv Singh 32. Quincy Holder had 3-32 and Prakash Chowtie 2-20. Rohan Auto Spares replied with 183-5 in 17.4 overs. Darshan Persaud slammed 52 and Quarsi Holder made 37; Sachin Sahadeo picked up 3-17.
Host Paradise SC got passed Lusignan B by six wickets. Lusignan were skittled for 83 in 19.3 overs taking first knock. A. Persaud got 31; Shawn Hassan grabbed 3-21, A. Moseley 2-19 and Joel Persaud 2-21. Pasadise SC reached 87-4 in 12 overs in reply. Jonathan Croheer led with 20 not out while Ryan Heywood made 16. Dambuka Ngando had 2-16.
At Enterprise, the home team lost to Ogle by eight runs. Ogle posted 144-5, taking first knock. MMichael Deonarine scored 45, Ajodhia Joseph 38 and Seepaul Sanichar 27; Sachin Ramkumar took 2-21. Enterprise were limited to 136-5 in reply. Mankad Balkishun stroked 63 and Lakeram Dindyal 32 not out. Michael Pooran and Nand Sanicharan took one wicket each.
