Teen’s body with stab wounds found at Goedverwagting
Police are trying to track down the individual who stabbed a 19-year-old and left his body on the Goedverwagting, East Bank Demerara Railway Embankment.
The body of Sherwin Lynch, of Sparendaam Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara, was found at around 20.30hrs on Wednesday.
Police said that he had been stabbed in the chest, left arm and left thigh.
They reportedly have a description of the killer.
Investigators do not appear to believe that robbery was a motive. The youth is said to have returned from the interior last Monday, where his father is also employed.
The body is at the Georgetown Public Hospital mortuary awaiting a post mortem.
