Change in guard for Berbice volleyball

Former national captain Levi Nedd takes over
Former National Volleyball Captain and present National Coach Levi Lawrence Nedd is the new President of the Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA).
Nedd was elected unopposed when the BVA held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Guysuco Training Centre Hostel, Port Mourant, Corentyne Berbice recently and elected office bearers for the 2016-2017 period.
Nedd, who was the former Secretary of the body replaced long serving President Gregory Rambarran who did not seek reelection.
A new Vice President has also been elected in Dion Seelochan. Ian Bagot will take up the Secretary position once held by Nedd.
Rashad Razack retained his position as Treasurer and Assistant Secretary.
The Committee Members elected to serve are Chandradat Ramdharry, Surendra Motipersaud, Ikram Khan, Jason Seelochan and Malika Jervis.
The formation of the various committees and the finalization of plans for the year will be finalized at the first meeting of the executive committee shortly.
Emphasis will be placed on school, female development, beach volleyball, hinterland, facility development and officiating. (Samuel Whyte)
