SUNBURST / EBFA U17 Semis…Grove face Mocha; Herstelling oppose Soesdyke
Defending champions Grove Hi Tech will fancy their chances of moving one step closer to retaining their

Under-17 crown when they face Mocha in the second semi final of the SUNBURST U17 competition today at the Grove Playfield.
The first semi at 13:00hrs features Herstelling Raiders and Soesdyke Falcons in what is anticipated to be a keen battle between two determined sides that boasts a number of talented youngsters.
Grove, which ended the group stage unbeaten after three matches with the best goal difference of all the teams, +16 will be led by the competitions leading goal scorer to date, Kevin Dalton who has scored in every match so far for his eight goals.
Backing up the lanky Dalton will be Nickolai Matthews Denzil Crawford, Kevin Padmore and the smallest goal keeper of the competition, Usher Jones who also boasts the best record of conceding the least amount of goals so far, 2.
Mocha, will have to pull out all the stops if they are to create what will be the biggest upset were they to get past Grove and book a place in the final. Their only win, a 3-1 triumph against Diamond United which earned them a semi final spot saw Deshawn Ellis, William France and Ian Mars finding the back of the nets.
This trio along with the other team members will have to play their best game yet to keep off the rampant Grove Hi Tech side.
Herstelling Raiders, the youngest club on the East Bank has been doing excellent to date in age group competitions and would be seeking to maintain that billing. Led by National Under-17 goalkeeper Quazim

Yussuf, the Raiders will hope to get past an enthusiastic and dangerous Soesdyke side.
Yussuf will have find support up front from the potent Seon Alfred, Daniel Nedd and James Walcott in their quest for a win and a place in the championship match.
Soesdyke Falcons can upset any team on their day and Herstelling will have to be very careful against the likes of the Khan brothers, Tyrone and Tyrel who are both capable of shredding apart any defence.
Add Tevin Marshall who netted a helmet-trick against Kuru Kururu Warriors in their final group match, Shonan Somnauth and Shane Meusa to the line-up, and it will spell trouble for any opponent. Whatever the outcome of these matches today, fans can look forward to two exciting showdowns.
