Rosignol Secondary defeated Bush Lot Secondary by eight wickets in a low scoring contest to win the West Berbice Zone of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) National Secondary School Cricket League (NSSCL) sponsored by Banks DIH Ltd’s Coca Cola and Rainforest Water along with Digicel.

Playing at the Bush Lot ground, the home team were dismissed for a dismal 94 in 19.2 overs as only Clayton Grant (12), Trenton Glasgow (12) and Seon Glasgow (11) reached double figures. Hemchan Singh claimed 4/16 in 5.2 overs, while S. Vyphius supported well with 3/9.
In reply, the home team stuck two early blows which sparked some hope before Javed Karim and C. Veersammy settled down with level headed batting to lead Rosignol Primary to victory with no further loss. Karim and Veersammy finished on 37 not out and 23 not out respectively.
Rosignol Secondary will now represent West Berbice in the Inter-Zone stage of the NSSCL which is slated to commence in January 2016.
