Dear Editor,
An excellent response by Freddie Kissoon to Brendon Mounter ( your publication of October 2nd 2015).
I have looked closely at the name Brendon Mounter, and have some suspicions as to its reality.
Perhaps some neophyte posing with some blatant falsities as Freddie has so adroitly adumbrated.
I follow Freddie’s daily articles and on some occasions might differ with him, but I, being in Region 11, am far removed from the scenes of actions and have to depend on the published news and reports. I have taken issue with lots of matters and even on one occasion penned a difference with Freddie.
In my social circle, the comments on Freddie are generally that he is loose cannon, but I defend his writings as being real, pointing, informative, analytical and at times intended to bestir action on all fronts. That attempts on his existence have in the past been made, is not unexpected for the truth hurts when wrongs and inconsistencies occur.
Now to the dear Magistrate. The big question that should be put to the Judicial Service Commission is: Do they review performances in all sincerity?
Then again what is the Chief Justice doing? Is it part of his job to review and advise on sentences meted out? By and large Magistrates seem to have great latitude in handing out sentences. If perchance sentences by the dear Magistrate dumbfound all, should there not be official intervention at the higher level?
Freddie, you did a good number on that pretender Brendon Mounter. Your analysis of his behavior and empty mouthings should keep him in his not too often bored place. Carl Veecock
