Dr. Maurice Odle is new NICIL Chairman
– Finance Minster declines to take post
Dr. Maurice Odle
Finance Minister, Winston Jordan has declined to take up the appointment as the Chairman of NICIL. As a result, Dr. Maurice Odle, a respected economist, has been appointed as the new Chairman. He is also the Chairman for the Tax Reform Committee which was formed two days ago by the Finance Minister.
According to Jordan, Dr. Odle has served in various positions at the United Nations and Caricom with distinction. At Caricom, he was the economic advisor to the CARICOM Secretary General.
The Finance Minister has no doubt that the economist will do the same in his new posts.
