GCA competitions resume today

Following a lengthy lay off due to inclement weather, the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) tournaments will resume today with matches in first and second division tournaments.
Georgetown CC will host Guyana Defence Force from 09:30 hrs in the lone Hadi’s World City Mall Inc first division two-day fixture, while in the Noble House Sea Foods second division two-day, Police will entertain Transport SC from 110:00 hrs.
The New Building Society 2nd Division (40 Overs) competition commences today at 11:00 hrs.
GNIC will be at home to Sophia, Third Class will travel to DCC, Malteenoes SC will host UG on Saturday.
Tomorrow, MYO will face Ace Warriors at GNIC and GYO will battle Diplomats at DCC.
Meanwhile, the teams have been divided into two zones with zone A comprising GCC, GYO, MYO, Ace Warriors, Malteenoes SC, Diplomats, Everest and UG, while Zone C includes Transport SC, GNIC SC, Third Class, GDF, St, Stanislaus, Sophia, Police and DCC.
