Trinidad and Tobago-based, Lionel D’Andrade won the 13th Annual Emancipation 5k Freedom Run last Saturday in Sangre Grande. D’Andrade won the race in 15:26 with Trinidadians Kriston Charles (15:53) and Shakerm Noel (16:49) second and third respectively.
The road race had 117 participants as they celebrated Emancipation Day. “I felt good this morning in the race and I am using it in preparation for the Banker’s Insurance Half Marathon this month end,” D’Andrade said.
