Dear Editor,
For good reasons I am in far away Texas, but a moment ago read Freddie Kissoon’s article in K N 25th July 2015 Titled “P P P horror show-from cars to gasoline to back pay.” This article should be repeated and widely circulated.
Beyond this we are now encircled by the revelations of the PP P handyman Shawn Hinds. With all we could understand over the recent years, what he has so far said is useful but not at all surprising My great worry is how will this administration deal with this serious matter. President Granger and his Cabinet have their hands full trying to clean up the awful mess they inherited and at the same time attempting to make good the promise for a better life for all of our people. It is like moving into a house with roaches ,rats, wood-ants and a leaking roof , these must be fixed before bringing in one bit of furniture. So this is my concern addressed to H.E the President, Minister Khemraj Ramjattan et al … how can we expect the top brass of a Police Force who were at their posts when all of these strange things and “unsolved crimes” were taking place . They say never put a wolf to tend your sheep. Our Top cops were either
(1) compromised or
(2) very incompetent
(3) badly under staffed and equipped or
(4) Part of the criminality…. Some time ago I observed that in our GPF we have some of the best men and women, but sadly, also some of the worst.
Whether it would seem wise for the government to seek external assistance immediately, we can also recruit some of the old giants whether at home or overseas. Too much is at stake to have the cat watch the milk. Hamilton Green
