Man found guilty of drug possession
Lukinvich Theobald was yesterday found guilty of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, after a hearing at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, when he appeared before Magistrate Annette Singh.
On April 2, last, at Water Street he had in his possession 25.5 grams of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
On the day in question police observed him under the Stabroek Market clock acting in a suspicious manner. A search was conducted on his person and a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems were found in his waist and crotch.
He was found guilty of the offence, sentenced to three years imprisonment and fined $30,000.
