The figure of 570,786 eligible voters on the list is indeed a cause for concern.
In no previous elections have we seen the voters’ list jump so dramatically, so why now do we have this increase of 75,000 voters? It is just not possible.
Is there some sinister reason why GECOM is not addressing this problem?
The opposition parties seem to be “asleep at the wheel” but they are going to awaken if they see droves of Chinese, Brazilian and Indian nationals turning up to vote on polling day. By then it’s going to be too late.
The EAB’s failure to run a test on the list, blaming GECOM’s slothful cooperation, is also a reason for suspicion. Michael Anthony
