New Era gears for second Mash Futsal tourney
Linden’s New Era Entertainment (NEE) is gearing to host its Second Annual Mashramani Futsal Tournament as sponsorship rolls in ahead of the

February 6 Opening Ceremony for the event that will be played at the Mackenzie Sports Club Court, Linden.
Yesterday, Yellow Mine Hydraulic Supplies, which is located in Eccles, East Bank Demerara made a financial contribution to the tournament that is expected to be held from February 6-21 in Linden.
Sales Representative at Yellow Mine, Vanie Ramnauth said that the company was happy to offer their support to the tournament as she wished the organisers all the best. “We’re happy to make a contribution to this event,” Ramnauth indicated.
One of the Directors of NEE, Aubrey Major Jr. thanked the company for coming onboard, while another NEE Director, Kenrick Noel reiterated the need for such corporate support to ensure that the event is kept alive.
“This is the second year and we will continue to make this tournament bigger and better,” Major said, adding that for seven nights there will be four games in the competition. The winning team will get $300,000 while the runner-up will get $100,000. The third place finisher gets $75,000 in the tournament with $25,000 set aside for the fourth placed team.
