(Kaieteur News) – Team Guyana’s athletics contingent is in Santa Fe, Argentina, prepared and ready to compete at the 2026 South American Games.
Guyana’s 12-member athletics contingent—comprising 11 athletes and Coach and Deputy Chef de Mission Mark Scott—features a strong blend of emerging talent and experienced stalwarts. The team is determined to compete with courage, discipline and national pride while pursuing honours for the Golden Arrowhead.
The athletes have completed their warm-up and familiarization sessions and are focused, confident and ready for competition.
The Games are being staged across the three host cities of Rafaela, Rosario and Santa Fe, bringing together some of the finest athletes from across South America.
Athletics runs from: September 22–26.
The Guyana Olympic Association extends its best wishes to the entire athletics contingent.
