Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) jumped two places to second spot in the Georgetown Cricket Associations (GCA) Hadi’s first division two-day cricket tournament when their final game for the year against Everest at MSC ended in a walkover for the hosts who collected 22 points from yesterday’s result.
The Thomas Lands side moved to 103 points from seven games, 29 points behind leaders DCC whose final game when the competition resumes on January 10 is against MSC.
MSC were awarded the Walkover after some members from the Everest side left the venue to return by Tea but never showed up when the Umpires deemed the ground and pitch match ready at 15:30hrs after Tea.
The MSC team led by Kellon Carmichael, had a practice session at their ground after the Walkover was awarded.
