Residents found a vagrant dead yesterday afternoon, in a trench near the Lusignan Railway Embankment, and outside the front of the Budget Supermarket.
According to Raymond LaCruze, the brother of 35-year-old Ronald Persaud, he was an alcoholic who spent most of time “begging on the streets.”
He said that he tried multiple times to rescue his brother from alcohol addiction, but his efforts never paid off.
Persaud was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital by ranks of the Vigilance Police Station.
