GPL releases new load-shedding schedule for Demerara, Berbice
The Guyana Power and Light Inc. (GPL) has released another load-shedding schedule in light of its continuing generation shortfall. The new schedule covered until tomorrow Friday. GPL, in a statement yesterday, reiterated that a shortfall in expected imported energy from the co-generation facility at Skeldon factory whose operations were affected by industrial action and unavailability of the No. 3 Wartsila engine at Kingston have caused the problems for Demerara and Berbice.
