Dear Editor,
If Opposition Leader and newly re-installed Leader of the PNCR, David Granger is serious about defeating the PPP regime at the next general elections, then he needs to stop being stubborn and change his leadership style in order to build a strong and respectable coalition.
As it stands now, other opposition parties (including the “Independent Party”) will be even more reluctant in joining forces with the PNCR for the upcoming general elections, or beyond.
Let’s hope good sense prevails on the part of Mr. Granger and the PNCR, and a sincere message of ‘unity’ becomes a reality within and outside of the party.
Mr. Granger now has to decide (and quickly) whether he wants a continued divided opposition, or a unified opposition (comprising other parties) that will offer hope to the Guyanese people. The ball is now in your court, Mr. Granger. Mark A. Benschop Leader of the Independent Party
