Defence cops Narine dominoes title in Wakenaam
Defence marked 66 games to win the final of the Ganeshram Narine dominoes competition played on Sunday last at Amit Ramnarine residence in Good Success, Wakenaam.
Vijay Persaud made the maximum 18 games, while Mohamed Zafrul supported with 14 for the winners. WE 5 placed second with 58 games, while Explorer came third with 57. Mohamed Kalam and Shafdar Alli chalked 13 apiece for the runner up team, while Khalid Zaman scored the maximum 18 and Ganeshram Narine 12 for Explorer.
Defence received a trophy and $7,000, while WE 5 and Explorer collected trophies for their efforts. Vijay Persaud was given the man of the match award in the final.
