According to GVF executive member Commander John Flores, the participants were also taught the correct way to receive a serve. The practical phase is an integral part of the Course and carries with it marks that could enable the aspiring coaches to pass the examination.
Commander Flores added that while the Course has a theoretical segment as well, learning the basic stance and how to serve and return are all vital to the participants being able to return to their respective clubs and communities and imparting the correct methods to aspiring players.
Today, sessions in both segments are expected to continue at the Carifesta Sports Complex on Carifesta Avenue where the participants will move to the sand for the practical exercise.
