Complaints ignored about this noisy church
Dear Editor,
Noise nuisance continues to be a major problem country wide, even though it would require minimum effort to curtail it.
It therefore reflects poorly on the performance of the relevant minister and law enforcement officers.
Just why appropriate action isn’t taken is unpardonable indeed and it reflects carelessness.
With respect to the “Foundation of Life” Church in Betsy Ground , East Canje , Berbice, letters to the press and numerous reports at Reliance Police Station have not restrained the assault on residents’ peace and quietness as no action is being taken.
However, the police are quick to harass residents when the church reports anyone playing music during their church activities.
Further, the tranquility of Betsy Ground has been trampled upon by their insensitivity. Residents are appealing to the relevant authorities to enforce the noise nuisance law and get these polluters to tone down.
