Dear Editor,
I respectfully request that you grant me space in your Column to express my disgust at the alarming rate of the sex trade, all because of their financial circumstances.
And I wish to congratulate Comrade Simona Broomes for her sterling contribution to this nation and women at large.
The Honorable Bibi Shaddick spent thousands of taxpayers’ dollars to charter airplane and could not have found one case of sex abuse.
She came back to Georgetown and accused the press , and the American Government of lying. “There is no evidence of sex trade in the regions”.
But the Women Miners Association and Comrade Broomes did not even use a bicycle, or an airplane , they did it on foot and are finding cases of sex trade every day.
I call on the Chambers of Commerce, the Private Sector Commission, and all religious organizations to strongly condemn this illicit sex trade. Open your mouths, sound your trumpet and call on the Government to get it stamped out. Help our women.)
I call on the Commissioner of Police Mr. Leroy Brumell to discipline the policemen involved immediately for they have brought shame and disgrace to that Honorable institution known as the Guyana Police Force. David Noel
