The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR)’s General Secretary, Oscar Clarke, was yesterday discharged from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Clarke, a former Minister of Home Affairs was discharged from the hospital’s Hi-Dependency-Unit (HDU) around 10:00am.
He was shot twice and gun-butted last Tuesday after bandits stormed his Lot 37 Plum Park, Sophia home while posing as policemen.
The 74-year-old man was shot in the region of the left groin and left side after he struggled with two of the intruders who had taken him to his bedroom.
His wife, Linda, was slapped by the robbers, who also escaped with an undisclosed amount of valuables.
Police have so far arrested one person and are to conduct an ID parade to find Clarke’s attacker.
