Ferries dispatched to Bartica laden with hinterland-bound supply trucks
Hinterland-bound traffic, wary of the Linden standoff, has been increasingly using Bartica, Region Seven, as the gateway to the mining camps and other communities.
Government was forced to dispatch two of its aging vessels to that community located up the Essequibo River to deal with the heavy demands.
