IOC Sports Administrators’ Course commences
The Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) International Olympic Committee (IOC)-sponsored 13th Annual Sports Administrators Course under the aegis of the Olympic Solidarity commenced yesterday and will conclude on Sunday at “Olympic House”.
A release from GOA’s Head Office indicated that “the course is aimed at improving knowledge of Sports Administration, so as to strengthen Sports Management and also to give the participant a better understanding of the Olympic Movement and Olympic Solidarity Programmes.”
Each participant will receive the IOC Sports Administrators Manual and an IOC Certificate will be awarded to the successful participants. The Course will cover a range of subjects that several locally trained luminaries will instruct.
Among those that will be training the new administrators are Attorney-at-Law, Emily Dodson, Judge Roxanne George, Attorney-at-Law and GOA President, Juman Yassin, Charles Corbin, Noel Adonis, Hector Edwards, Wanda Richmond and Mayfield Taylor-Trim.
