Residents in Rosemary Lane (Tiger Bay), Georgetown yesterday received gifts and hampers worth $400,000 from Gift Land Office Max. The handing over was done at the Community Center in Tiger Bay.
The presentation made yesterday marked the second year the company has been giving back to the less fortunate.
According to the Human Resource Director, Jade Beepat, the company has been giving to the community for the past two years and intends to make it an annual distribution as long as the company resides in the area.
She further added that this year’s distribution has increased as compared with last year.
Babies and senior citizens were also catered for while the children happily sang and received their gifts from Santa Claus.
