Man slaps reputed wife for cheating

Fifty-two-year-old Orin Bailey was placed on $15,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell yesterday charged with assaulting his reputed wife. The man who resides at 29-36 North Ruimveldt allegedly slapped his reputed wife of 13 years after he accused her of having an affair.
On December 3, on Brickdam, Bailey reportedly walked up to Fayann Abrahams and slapped her without an explanation. It was revealed by the court prosecutor that the man felt that his wife was cheating on him.
The prosecutor said the man had previously accused his partner of cheating. Bailey, who was unrepresented, said nothing. He later heard that he would be placed on a bond to keep the peace. He was also ordered to return to court on February 7.
