Kwame Mc Koy gunbutt’s man in head
Controversial Information Liaison to President Bharrat Jadgeo, Kwame Mc Koy, is once again being accused of assaulting a civilian.
This time, police are investigating reports that Mc Koy gun-butted 50-year-old Clifton Stewart, of Norton Street, Lodge last Friday night, during a fracas over the erecting of political posters in the community.

Stewart has reportedly told police that he was in Norton Street with some friends when he saw Mc Koy erecting posters for the PPPC in the street. Stewart reportedly recognized Mc Koy and told him to be careful not to obscure the posters of another political party that were already erected.
He alleged that Mc Koy responded by pulling out a handgun and striking him on the head. Stewart reportedly sought medical attention before reporting the matter to the police.
Contacted last night, a relative of the injured man confirmed that the altercation had occurred but declined further comment.
The incident is just one of several that allegations of assault that have been made against Mc Koy.
In late October, the Information Liaison to the President was accused of running over 22-year-old Natalia Ross with his Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).
This newspaper understands that the incident stemmed from an earlier altercation between volunteers from two major political parties over the erection of campaign material in Robb Street. Mc Koy has denied injuring Ross.
He was also previously accused of driving his vehicle on another woman during a protest action in the city.
He was never charged. He was also accused to have been in an incident which involved the damaging of a vehicle belonging to social activist Mark Benschop. The police have not yet taken any action in that matter.
