Twenty-six-year old Orlando Thom of Old England, Upper Demerara River had all charges against him dismissed when he appeared before Magistrate Ann McLennan, at the Christianburg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Thom had appeared in court to answer to the charges of abduction, robbery under arms and threatening behaviour.
It was alleged that on Thursday March 10, 2011 at Nottinghamshire, Upper Demerara, Thom abducted Kemani Sharma with intent to wrongfully confine the virtual complainant.
It was also alleged that Thom made use of threatening behaviour and while armed with a dangerous weapon stole from Dexter Pires one NZE motorcar valued at $2,650,000.
After the charges against him were dismissed, Magistrate Ann McLennan placed Thom on a bond to keep the peace for 12 months and ordered that he pay a fine of $2,000.
