Reggie Goberdhan Memorial Trophy League Competition continues
The youthful and energetic GTC/PM Volleyball team continues to maintain its winning ways. Last week as action resumed in the BVA’s Reggie Goberdhan Memorial League Competition the team defeated Albion Volleyball Club twice in as many encounters winning three games to nil. Scores were 25-15, 25-15, 25-13 and 25-15, 25-16 and 25-17.
The GTC/PM team were awarded a walk-over in a scheduled third encounter and GTC/PM will oppose PM Jaguars this week in other matches in the Lower-Corentyne Zone.
In the New Amsterdam – Canje Zone, Rollers defeated Falcons of Reliance 25-21, 25-22, 25-14 to follow up on a victory recorded in September. The two teams will clash again on Sunday Nov 13 at the GTM Court in New Amsterdam.
The BVA Reggie Goberdhan Memorial Trophy League Competition commenced in September but was curtailed due to weather conditions and poor conditions of some grass courts. The top team in each zone will clash in the final billed for December 4 at the GTM Court in New Amsterdam where relatives of the Late Reggie Goberdhan be present to hand over the trophy and other prizes.
