ECB Congratulates Fredericks and Beaton
The Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB) has congratulated opener Norman Fredericks and West Indies Under-19 pacer Ronsford Beaton on their selection to the Guyana Senior one day team. Public Relations Officer Nazeer Mohamed told Kaieteur Sport that the players deserved their places after performing creditably in Inter County competition.
Mohamed said that Fredericks has been knocking on the national team door for quite some time and the Board is happy he has finally got his reward. He also stated that Beaton, a young and lively fast bowler has a bright future ahead of him. ECB’s Sheik Ahmad stated that the selection of Fredericks and Beaton will serve as motivation for other cricketers in the County.
