GT&T FastBall Football tourney heating up
Matches to be played countrywide this weekend
The battle to fill the slots in the round-of-32 in the inaugural GT&T FastBall football nationwide knock-out competition continues this weekend with matches slated countrywide.
Last evening play continued at the GFC Ground in the city and at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground, Linden.
The FastBall train will move off tomorrow at the BV Ground on the East Coast of Demerara with two matches scheduled. From 16:30hrs, Plaisance Panthers opposes Arthur’s All Stars to be followed by a clash between Golden Stars and BV Lions. Games are also slated for Port Kaituma.
Following is the full schedule of matches:
Essequibo on Saturday July 9 at the Ann Regina Community Centre Ground from 15:00hrs – Gunners Veterans vs Coastland All Stars; NOC vs Henrietta B; Militants vs Richmond; Queenstown B vs Dartmouth United.
East Bank on Saturday (July 9) at the Diamond Community Centre Ground from 15:00hrs – Harpy Eagles vs Eccles United; Mocha Arcadia vs KK Frontline Strikers/Diamond Invaders; Jonny Nice/Faith United vs Samatta Point/KK Lions; KK Warriors vs Agricola United/Timehri Ballers; Grove vs Harpy Eagles/Eccles United.
West Demerara at the Uitvlugt Community Centre Ground from 15:00hrs on Saturday (July 9) – Den Amstel Warriors vs Pouderoyen; West Dem United vs Wales United; Meten-Meer-Zorg vs Beavers; West Side All Starz vs Eagles United A.
