US army band to perform at Parliament Building
The US Army band ‘State of the State’ and the Guyana Defence Force Military band will hold a public performance at 16:00 hours tomorrow (Thursday, June 30), on the northern lawn of Parliament Building, Brickdam.
The performance, which will include individual and joint numbers, is expected to last one hour.
The ‘State of the State’ is in Guyana to conduct a subject matter expert exchange with the Guyana Defence Force Military band, and will perform in Guyana in celebration of the 235th anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America. Both bands will spend the week engaged in sessions of music theory and practice, and will hold an educational exchange at Queen’s College and a performance for high school students in Linden.
