The Georgetown Cricket Association in an effort to acquire much needed funds to continue its developmental programmes, will be holding a Curry-Q this Sunday (June 5) at the Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) of Guyana Ground, Woolford Avenue.
The cricket skills competition which should have been part of the event has been shelved due to the current inclement weather. All are invited to attend and support this activity which will also have Indian Sweet Meats and other goodies on sale throughout the day.
Strikers SC hosts Domino Competition tomorrow
Strikers Sports Club will be holding a 21-team 20/20 Domino Competition tomorrow at the club’s Headquarters, Meadow Brook Drive, starting from 14:00 hrs.
According to a release from the Organisers, the first prize up for grabs will be $175,000 plus a trophy; 2nd $100,000 plus a trophy and 3rd $50,000 plus a trophy, while entrance fee per team is $10,000. The release further stated that the competition is strictly invitational and Bar-b-Cue will be on sale. Meanwhile, among those who’ve contributed to the tournament are Ansa Mc al’s Carib Beer, Parisse Mining, J&H Printery, Shawn Holder and Mannie.
