The 45th Anniversary Masters Football Tournament Independence Cup commences tomorrow at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) Ground where 12 teams will be launching their campaigns for cash prizes and trophies that are up for grabs.
Participating teams include Linden, Masters Berbice, East Coast, GFC Pele, Huston All-Stars, Santos, Thomas United, Plaisance, Western Tigers, Brazilian Embassy and Rastafarian Patriarch. All games will be played at the GFC Ground over three days.
The games will last for 60 minutes and the entrance fee per team is $10,000. Each team must consist of 20 players. Apart from the cash prizes and trophies up for grabs, the Most Valuable Player, Most Goal Scorers and Best Goalkeepers will be awarded.
