Defending champions Team Fullworks grabbed their sixth overall title after recording 122 laps to erase the old mark of 121 last Sunday during the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club 3-hour Endurance Meeting which was held, at the South Dakota Circuit.
The team comprised brothers Shairaz and Shahab Roshandin and Roshan Allie and they competed in the 1600cc class driving a Toyota Levin.
Team Fullworks also snatched first place in the 1500cc category through Mohamed Ali and Afraz Allie who took the chequered flag, while they also secured a third place in the same division.
Speaking about the performance, Shairaz Roshandin told this newspaper that the team has more in store and promised to eclipse the current record, stating that they are capable of registering 125 laps in the stipulated time.
He revealed that they eased on the throttle, but promised not to do so at the next scheduled Meet later this year.
