Mr. Universe Over-50 champ Hugh Ross pays courtesy call on Commodore Best

The Guyana Defence Force officially welcomed one of its own when the Mr. Universe Over-50 Champion, Hugh Ross, paid a courtesy call on the Chief-of-Staff, Commodore Gary Best on Friday.
The COS noted that to officially receive him was a fitting gesture since the former army Captain had given exemplary service to the GDF and Guyana. Commodore Best added that Ross’ success is a testimony of determination that will serve as motivation to young people, helping them to identify and work towards achieving their dreams.
Thanking the COS for acknowledging his achievement, Mr Ross said he realised that he has the responsibility to be a role model and this helps to keep him diligent and humble.
Ross received the Sportsman of the Year Award Friday evening at the National Cultural Centre.
