BCB salutes Bishoo on WI call up
The President, Executive and members of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) has extended congratulations to Devendra Bishoo on his selection to the West Indies Team for the 2011 World Cup. Following is the full text of the message.
Bishoo’s selection was richly deserved as it was the results of years of outstanding performances for Berbice, Guyana and lately the West Indies ‘A’ Team.
This selection, of another Berbician on the West Indies Team is another indication of the rapid development taking place in Berbice cricket and shows that the massive investments made over the years by the Berbice Cricket Board has started to show dividends.
We are confident that Devendra Bishoo, our Berbice cricketer of 2010 would continue to make all Berbicians proud by his performances on and off the field. Congratulations are also extended to the Management of the Albion Cricket Club for the outstanding work the club is doing in nurturing the skills of so many talented cricketers.
May the God that Bishoo serves continue to watch over him and protect him and may be continue to follow his proven formula to success as it is easier to reach the top than to remain there.
The Berbice Cricket Board also extends best wishes to the entire West Indies Team.
