Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday placed driver, Keith King, on $2M bail, whenr he appeared in court in connection with Wednesday’s crash at Sparendaam, East Coast Demerara.
That crash claimed the life of former Kaieteur News reporter, Kishana DaSilva.
King, who was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, is to return to court on June 13.
It is alleged that King was driving a Nissan Titan 5.6 V8 along the Rupert Craig Highway on Wednesday when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into St Paul’s Church Rectory fence before smashing into an electrical pole.
Twenty-two-year-old DaSilva sustained multiple injuries and succumbed shortly after.
King, passengers Alana DaSilva and Cindy Charles sustained injuries.
