Georgetown Trophy Stall beat Unstoppables of Corentyne Berbice in Sunday’s final of the GT&T 10/10 softball cricket competition at the Everest ground to walk away with championship honours and the $1 million first prize.

Randy Ketwaroo top scored with an unbeaten 36 for the winners, Man-of-the-Match Fazal Rafeek supported with 35 while Anand Dindial made 16 to spur Trophy Stall to 115 off their allotted 10 overs.
The visitors could only reach 64-7 in reply with Joshua Garnette offering some resistance with 28 as Premraj Huran took 2-12 for the inaugural champions. Unstoppables had the settle for the runner-up prize of $250,000.
Richard Latiff (176*) received the prize for the batsman with the highest score in an innings while Darren Persaud (7-2) took home the prize for the best bowling figures in a match. Jagdesh Deosarran of Trophy Stall was declared the tournament’s MVP after scoring 244 runs and taking 6 catches.
